Health Navigator Summit in Oxford -Learning and sharing
After a year of highs for Health Navigator, the team assembled in Oxford this June for a combined summer party and seminar. We reviewed our progress so far, value created for patients, the NHS and our own organisational growth. Our service empowers patients to better engage in their health and care, thereby reducing preventable consumption of unplanned care. Now operational across nine NHS CCGs and Acute Hospital Trusts, showing patient value and system savings can go together. Our Health Coaches shared some fantastic patient testimonials from around the country.
One of the major elements of the summer seminar was to share the great progress results showing improvements in patient-reported wellbeing along with substantial reductions in unnecessary usage of urgent and emergency care. Another of the key events was a panel discussion featuring our health coaches. Hearing from the health coaches meant we gained a deeper understanding of how patient coaching can transform the lives of patients.
Additionally, Health Navigator has been working closely with a design consultancy to develop our services and build a sustainable future. The Oxford event was a chance to meet them and hear their recommendations, which are being implemented to take Health Navigator into its new growth phase. The event finished with a summation from our CEO and all attendees left with a spring in their step, excited about our positive impact on healthcare in the UK.
